Doomscrolling.us ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Centricle LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use doomscrolling.us (the "Service").
When you submit text to the Service, we store the content you provide. Submissions are public and anonymous — no account is required.
We create a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We do not store your raw IP address in our database. However, raw IP addresses may appear in standard server and hosting logs maintained by our infrastructure providers.
Our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically collects standard server log information including IP addresses, browser type, device information, and pages visited. These logs are managed by Netlify per their privacy policy.

We will comply with valid subpoenas, court orders, and other legal processes. This may include disclosing IP hashes, submission content, timestamps, and any server log data available from our infrastructure providers.
Submissions are retained indefinitely unless removed through moderation. IP hashes are retained for abuse prevention purposes. Moderated (hidden) posts remain in the database but are not publicly visible.
This Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Because the Service is anonymous and we do not collect personally identifiable information, we cannot verify ownership of individual submissions. If you believe content containing your personal information has been posted, contact us for removal.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
